Summer 2020 Pre-Market Info Meeting!

Due to the quickly evolving situation and our goal to provide the most relevant and up-to-date information regarding the Summer 2020 season, we have decided to push back our summer Pre-Market Meeting to Wednesday, April 8th at 6pm. This meeting will be held via Zoom, a common online meeting/webinar tool, and also simulcast to our RFM Facebook Page. If you do not have a reliable internet connection – that’s ok! You can call in using your telephone and listen to the audio. If you are not available during this time, you will be able to watch the recorded meeting at a later date.

During this meeting, we will be going over some planned changes to the Rules & Guidelines, and also changes/recommendations that we will be making to prevent COVID-19 spread at the Market.

Normally during this annual meeting we hold an in-person lottery for available Season Pass booth spaces. Due to the circumstances, we will be doing things slightly differently to help ensure that the lottery system is as fair as possible. The process will go like this:
– To enter into the lottery, any vendor will need to inform the Market Coordinator either before or during the Pre-Market meeting/webinar
– During the webinar, the Market Coordinator will draw the list of names from each group in the lottery
– In the following days, the Market Coordinator will contact each person who entered into the lottery in the order their names were drawn. If not immediately reachable, they will have 24 hours to respond before their name goes to the end of the list and the Market Coordinator moves onto the next person in line

To help anyone who has been financially affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, the Market Advisory Team has decided to change the payment schedule for Season Pass payments. It is as follows:
– 25% of the Season Pass booth fee must be paid by 5/2/20
– The remaining 75% of the Season Pass booth fee must be paid by 5/30. Failure to complete payment by this date will result in cancellation of the season pass.
– Payments in full are preferred prior to 5/2/20
To renew, please fill out the application (below) by 4/6/20. Once you have submitted your intent to renew, I will send an invoice to you individually that can be paid online or by mailing us a check.

Before the Pre-Market Meeting, all are welcome to review the updated Rules & Guidelines and fill out your application for the Summer 2020 season.

The Richmond Farmers Market team has been hard at work to prepare for the 2020 Summer Market. We’re excited and we know that this year is going to be bigger, better, and more successful than ever before!

There’s a lot of information to communicate and discuss, including some updates to our Rules & Guidelines, and we would like to invite any interested party to the Innovation Center on April 1st (no joke!), 2020 from 6 to 8pm for the “Pre-Market Vendor Meeting”

This meeting will provide you with “one stop shopping” for the 2020 season of the Summer Richmond Farmers Market, highlighting pertinent information that will lend to the success of the market as a whole over the 2020 season.

If you are interested in becoming a NEW season pass vendor, we will hold a lottery at this meeting for open spaces. To reserve a season pass spot, payment of at least 50% of your season pass fee will be due at this meeting, and the other 50% by the first Market of the year.

If you are interested in RENEWING your season pass space, payment of at least 50% of your season pass fee will be due at this meeting, and the other 50% by the first Market of the year.

Applications will be available at the meeting, and will also be available in the next few weeks online. This link will also include all relevant information on rules, pricing, and more.
